‘It Starts Right Here’: introducing Ariel Biggs, our new summer staff member

Racing for the past fifteen years, Ariel is a seasoned driver. At age twenty Ariel is the third generation of speed demon in her family. “I was referred to this job (at the museum) and checked it out! It is really making my summer more exciting!” she says. A student at College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA, she is chipping away at her Aerospace Engineering PhD. “The dream is to someday own an aerospace engineering company so that I can make my own racing planes and cars. I want all of the fabrication to be in house.” She is quick to admit however, that open wheel dirt track racing is a passion. She is most looking forward to “bringing in a new generation to racing” this summer. She says “Video games have taken people out of the stands and put them in the driver’s seat. It all starts right here!” We are pleased to have Ariel as part of our staff and are looking forward to sharing her driving expertise.

Favorite car: the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona because "It was just so fast! They had to outlaw it!"
