Holiday celebrations

Holiday Magic!

Thursday – Saturday, December 19 – 21

6 – 8:30 pm each evening

Join World of Speed for an all-new, three-night, holiday celebration! When the lights go down, the magic begins. Each evening will have a different theme, special guests, and fun activities and games for the whole family.

Once Upon a Time . . .

Thursday, December 19

Get ready to be enchanted! Come in costume (or not) and meet the Snow Queen, her sister, and Princess Belle, as you hear fantastic stories, become a work of art with face painting, play fun-filled games, and enjoy other royal treats. You can also see a one-of-a-kind Magic Show starring some of your favorite princesses!

Superhero & Sci-Fi Fantasy

Friday, December 20

May the fun be with you! Come in costume (or not) and meet some of your favorite “supers” like Batman, Spiderman, and Wonder Woman, while creating your own super character look, checking out some cool balloon creations, and much more! You’ll definitely want to see our epic(ally fun) Superhero Stunt Show – POW!

Saturday, December 21

‘Twas the last night of Holiday Magic, when who should appear? It’s our special guest for the evening, with a couple of reindeer! Yes, Santa will be on hand to meet and greet (and hear those last-minute requests), along with a couple of special helpers. Spin the dreidel with holiday games, decorate your own holiday cookie, sip on some hot cocoa, and create your own holiday keepsake ornaments. You can also catch a special reading of “The Night Before Christmas” by the jolly old elf himself!

*All activities included with admission; free for Museum members!

Gingerbread garage family event

Join us for an exciting family workshop at World of Speed! We provide the gingerbread, candy, icing and other goodies — you provide the creativity! Families will each receive a blank gingerbread house, car, and base for decoration, and from there, it’s up to you! With a little imagination and engineering, your family will create a totally sweet holiday centerpiece and make some magical memories to cherish along the way.

Fee: $55 per family* (World of Speed member discount: $45)

*Five people or fewer; additional fees may apply for larger groups

Art Pollard Day in May

Join World of Speed for an afternoon celebrating the life and legacy of Indy racer Art Pollard. Pollard was known not just for his dedication to racing, but also for his important work for children with special needs. The day kicks off with a special Indy-style welcome complete with music and fanfare at noon, followed by racing activities, crafts, and — of course — ice cream! You can also meet some of Art Pollard's family and learn more about this very special racer.
