Join Dick Bech as he shares his experience in 40 years of racing at 23 different racetracks around the country. He’ll explore his first eight to ten years while racing in SCCA and highlight his experience in Trans-AM from 1973-1989. Ask him to tell you about his racing days with Paul Newman. From 1990 until he retired in 2000, he focused on vintage racing. Today, he attends the Monterey Annual Historics race with a 1967 Big Block Corvette each year. He is the fifth oldest racer to hold an SCCA license.
Bech worked for North Pacific Lumber for 38 years and is a new volunteer at World of Speed. He is involved with the Edwards Foundation and helps people with disabilities.
