1962 – 1964 Chicago Indoor Winter Nationals

Chicago is known for many things, ranging from a cow that set the city on fire to famous gangsters to dining delicacies such as Chicago - style pizza and hot dogs, and, of course long, cold winters. Those winters did not stop auto racing. Instead, enthusiasts turned to indoor events at the Chicago International Amphitheater, including the 1962 -1964 Chicago Indoor Winter Nationals drag races. Tom Styczynski attended many of these events and will share insights into Chicago’s unique car culture.
