Be Part of the Experience & Win!
To celebrate American Archive Month this October, the World of Speed Archive has tons of activities in store for you. With a focus on community engagement, we’ve put together a host of events for you. To start off, we’ll be kicking off the month-long Tag & Post Contest with a chance to win a gift certificate for the most catalog posts by one person. We’ll also be kicking off the PNW Community Racing Timeline where you can add your racing moments either online or while visiting the museum throughout the month of October. Need another reason to visit? The Archive is hosting a free workshop Preserve Now, Find Later! (Sat 28th, 11am-12noon) to learn how to care for and protect
your images and memorabilia. The Archive volunteers will also be sharing collections they have worked on including the collections of Plotts, Duncan, Scott, Usher, Denbo, Fuez and Granatelli during the Archive Volunteers Talk (Sat 7th, 11:30am-12:30pm). Items from these collection will be part of the Volunteers Collection Showcase (Sat 7th – Sun 15th). Still not enough? Come by the museum to Record Your Racing Story (Sat 21st, 11am-3pm) and get your racing memories on video to preserve and share. It's going to be a full month with lots to do but there’s one more thing: we’ll be playing Racing Home Movies on the Big Screen in the gallery Sat 21st & 22nd.

PNW Community Racing Timeline
Share a photo and a sentence or two of your own personal motorsports milestone. You can submit your milestone and images via our online submission form, share it on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtag #WOSracetime, or come into the gallery to write on our interactive timeline (bring a photo to the Archive Room for us to scan, print, and include)! It could be your first race, a podium standing, or a build completion. All these will be included in an ever-evolving online timeline that preserves and celebrates decades of local racing.

If you have a racing home movie transferred onto DVD or digital file that you’d like to include, please deliver it to the World of Speed Archive
at least one week in advance.

Record Your Racing Story (Gallery)
Got a story to tell? Perhaps it’s from your time racing or building, when you watched the race of a lifetime, or the first time you worked on a car as a kid! Can you share a story about an item you donated to the Collection? Whether three minutes or 15 minutes, we’ll record your story in the museum gallery,--look for our recording station at the white couch--and preserve it as part of our Racing Story Vault community stories video series, and make it available online for all to experience and share.
