My Name is Cora. I am originally from right here in Portland, Oregon. Growing up around open wheel racing, my dream is to work for a professional motorsports team specifically in the realm of IndyCar. In order to achieve that goal, I have chosen to study Sports Management at a university in northern Indiana to be close to the teams. Racing is my main passion along with photography, graphic design and journalism. In working for the World of Speed this summer I not only get to immerse myself in racing history of all kinds, but I get to share what I learn with others right here on this blog!

I will be researching and writing about racing/car culture, vocabulary involved with racing, the museum and some of the pieces in the archive, and interviewing professionals involved in auto racing. Most importantly however, I will be documenting the activities of the World of Speed summer camps and showcasing how students come here to learn about the different aspects of motorsports.

Favorite car: Rolla Vollstedt, Len Sutton IndyCar because it was a key piece in IndyCar history built by a extremely influential car builder of the sport.
