Otto's Storytime garage

Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Join World of Speed for an all-new adventure for younger guests! Otto's Storytime Garage combines books, art, music, learning, and fun, with a new program each week. Hear a story and then take part in an activity that goes along with the book. Free with admission. Recommended for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers.

*Free admission for low income families.

Saturday, October 20, Noon – 4 p.m.

Dress in costume and join World of Speed for an afternoon of Halloween fun! Take part in our costume parade, explore the haunted auto shop, race pumpkins in the Great Pumpkin Race, and make your own “Trunk-or-Treat” bags for gathering treats and prizes throughout the galleries. All activities are included in admission, which is free for World of Speed members.

The first 100 kids through the door get a prize!

Holiday Celebration

Celebrate the holiday season with us with live seasonal music, car-themed ornament making, reindeer racing, and the arrival of our special holiday guest for the day — Santa! It’s an afternoon filled with family activities, so be sure not to miss out on the fun! All activities are included in admission, which is free for World of Speed members.

Engineering Week Makers’ Fair

Saturday, February 23, Noon – 4 p.m.

Join us for an afternoon celebrating creativity and innovation! This exciting event showcases the coolest creations from area makers, along with some fun, hands-on activities that put you in the maker seat! From robotics to race cars, explore the latest and greatest technology advances at World of Speed. All activities are included in admission, which is free for World of Speed members.

 

Eggstravaganza

Saturday, April 13, Noon – 4 p.m.

Hop on over to World of Speed for an afternoon of egg-citing fun! Join us for egg relay races, egg decorating, the Easter Bunny’s grand arrival, and much more! Be sure to get in on the Great Egg Race 2018, for your chance to “find” eggs and get great prizes! All activities are included in admission, which is free for World of Speed members.

 

Art Pollard Day in May

Saturday, May 4, Noon – 4 p.m.

Join World of Speed for an afternoon celebrating the life and legacy of Indy racer Art Pollard. Pollard was known not just for his dedication to racing, but also for his important work for children with special needs. The day kicks off with a special Indy-style welcome complete with music and fanfare at noon, followed by racing activities, crafts, and — of course — ice cream! You can also meet some of Art Pollard's family and learn more about this very special racer.
