Come meet the man behind a mechanical marvel hoping to break land-speed records, and see the car itself! Join us as Marlo Treit, former land-speed racer, presents his Target 550, a car built for one purpose: to shatter the wheel-driven land-speed record.
Marlo will talk about the history of the car and explain the efforts needed to race on the salt flats in Lake Gairdner, South Australia next year. Enjoy this exclusive opportunity to see the car — with body panels removed to show the inner workings — before it’s shipped off to Australia to challenge the record!
Marlo’s presentation is free to all museum attendees with admission. World of Speed members are invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet with Marlo starting at 10 a.m., in advance of the public event at 11. Come meet Marlo and check out his remarkable car!
