Title: Heroines in Porsche Motorsports History
Join us as Peter Linsky shares the stories of two unsung heroines in Porsche history. He’ll highlight the lives of Countess Alicia Paolozzi, and Mary Russell Wenger. Paolozzi was an American ex-pat who married an Italian nobleman, raced in the Tour de France, and almost won the 1959 Algiers-Capetown Rally in a Porsche 356 coupe. Wenger, was from Maryland and became the crew chief for the Earl Wenger Racing Team out of DC in the 1960s.
Peter Linsky joined the docent team at World of Speed soon after the museum opened. He is retired, after spending almost 40 years in broadcasting and print journalism and has written more than 100 feature articles for Excellence magazine.
