Bob Plotts was involved in the Portland Oregon racing scene during the second half of the 20th century, with the majority of the collection covering his activity from the '70s through the early '00s. An avid photographer throughout his adult life, Plotts covered decades of racing, cars, and all things motorized, including events throughout and beyond the west coast and Pacific Northwest. He had a propensity for British Fleet and Vintage Racing; however, the coverage of racing he captured is wide and varied. A common patron of car shows, private collections, and car museums, his slides cover many well-known and smaller exhibitions. Plotts was a member of the Cascade Sports Car Club (CSCC) and acted as their historian and photographer over the decades while also racing on the amateur level.
